At the hide and skin tsafe on Tuesday, late values were sustained ; prices for hides varied from 2?d to 4<l the lb ; fat and tallow, from 20s to 27s 3d the cwt. ; bones, 4s the cwt. ; sheepskins, from 2s 2d to 3s 5d each. At Drury on Thursday, consequent on the wet weather, ' fewer cattle than expected were yarded. The grown cattle advertised will be foiwarded for next sale day. Young cattle were at late values, quiet dairy cyw.s slightly bettor worth. At Renmera on Thursday not many dairy cattle yarded, good animals weia in request. Puces ranged from £4 10s to £10. Few store cattle yarded, and those were dull of sale. Fat cattle in full number.-, and generally of large si/e. Prices for oxen ranged from 20s to. 22* the lOOlbs, with a steady de wand. 'Cows of medium quality dull of sale at 18s the lOOlbs, but prime cows were at 235. Sheep in shoit supply, and bebt quality better worth. A pen of prime wethers fiom Waipu i cached 2os, but the average of well fatted wethers was not more than 275. Waikato averages were— 72 steers, O. A good many changed hands, and prices were a shade higher. At the Durham Yards on Friday there was a large number submitted by auction. Competition was good throughout the sale, and almost without exception lots were "" cleared. We quote: Hacks, from £S to €17 15s ; light hanie-h hoises, from £12 10s to £17 17s Od ; spung-cait homes, £18 to £22. No heavy draught j were disposed of. Wool, hides and skins : Moderate supply and steady demand for hides and skins ; scarely any wool offering.
