Wellington, Thursday, 12.45 a.m. The no-confidence debute suddenly collapsed shortly after midnight. On the conclusion of Mr Gillies' speech theie were repeated cries of "Divide, divide," and no other member rising to speak, the division was taken. There was great excitement. Mr Ormnnd was anxiously watched during the division, but the remarkable nature of the Governor's Speech decided his vote. There were loud Opposition cheers when it was announced that tho large majority of 19 had declared against the Government. This is by far tho largest majority that has ever been recorded against a New Zealand Ministry. The question now is what is to be the next move on the political chess board '!
