Iredter's telegrams.] (Received August 17th, 5 p.m.] Sydney, August 20. The seventh quinquennial report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society was issued today. It contains a comprehensive resume of the history and progress of the society, and a complete exposition of its present position. The surplus for five years, ended 31at December, 1883, is stated to be£1, 156,176, of which £142,963 are reserved from distribution, leaving, for division among the members, ithe sum of £1,013,233, which amount will r.3preseutthereversionarybonusesamountmg to £2,094,392. Examples which are given in the report show that the bonuses on this occasion willbe much larger than on the previous division in 1879.
