[BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 Waiorongomai, Monday Night. Thb heavy rain continued all through Saturday night and Sunday up to midnight, when it ceased. A large amount of damage has been done on the tramway ; heavy slips have taken place, which will take over £1.00 to repair. The battery is stopped for want of quartz, and the line will probably not be open again for over a week. At Te Aroha the rivor overflowed its banks yesterday, and came right up into the streets of the town, doing considerable damage, but it has now subsided. More rain is threatening.
