The Government has beeu formed as follows :— Sir Julius Vogel (with precedence)— Colonial Treasuier, PostmasterGeneral, and Commissioner of Stamps. Mr. Stout— Premier and AttorneyGeneral. Hon. E. Richardson— Public Works. Mr. Montgomery — Colonial Secretary and Education. Mr. Macandrew— Lands and Mines. Mr. Ballance— Native and Defence. Sir George Whitmore— Without portfolio. There is yet one seat to be filled, and it will probably bo reseived for an Auckland member. It is underbtood that Mr Richardson will retire frMii the Ministry, and take the Pie-identshipofthe Middle Island Railway Board, which the Government propose to establish. It is proposed also to establish a Railway Board for Auckland. The arrangement about the piecedence is in accordance with the piecedeut of sinnlai course of action when Sir F. Whitaker first joined Major Atkinson. On Thursday Sir Julius Vogel will ask for a further adjournment until Tuesday next.
