Napikr, Monday. A cask of confluent smallpox was landed from the Waihora on Saturday, ami was sent to the Hospital. The nature of the disease was suspected yesterday, and was confirmed to-d<iy. The man is not expected to H\e. He had not been vao cinated. Arrangements have been made to quaiantine the hospital, and to remove the case to the quarantine station. * Later. The smallpox patient's name is Andrew Mouat He was a lamp tiimmer on board the Waihora. There are no other paiticulars than those already forwarded.
