New Plymouth, Thursday. Mahuki (who chained up Mr C. W. Hnrsthouse when coming thiough the Waikato, ami was imprisoned in Auckland Gaol for it; last year), together with a number of Waikato followers, passed through town this morning on their way to Parahika. There were over 50 natives. On Monday Te Whiti addressed the natives in the marae, but the speech was of a religious character, and no political construction can be put upon it. Wellington, Friday. The natives assembled at Parihalca are now dispersing for their homes. Upwards of 300 belonging to the Waimate Plains have left for their own bapus, and it is believed the others will follow in a day or two.
