CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday.
All yesterday afternoon there was incess.int heavy rain, and at night and this morning heavy snow. The lulls to the south ot the city are covered with snow. To-day has been fine, but the temperature is \ cry low. Mr Oliver Watsey, in the event of another election for Sfcanmore, offers himself again as a c mdidate. It is rumoured that several of the rejected of other constituencies would also woo Stanmore were the present election upset. Monday. John Hopping, injured by a fall of earth at St. Martin's brick woiks, Opawa, on Tuesday last, died on Saturday.
