THE BLUE RIBBON ARMY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Very little is heard now in the Waikato of that once popular organisation, tho Blue Kibbon Aimy. For many months after its inauguiation it was all the rage, its meetings were laigely atteuded, and held weekly ir almost every assembly hall throughout the district, old and young donned the badge and no thing seemed to impede its onward course. But now its popularity seems to have collapsed. Though its members still continue to hold their meetings, the attendance gradually becomes mote limited, the list of members seems to decrease instead of increase, and, speaking generally, the popularity of the organisa tion, though possibly not of the cause, aeems to be on the wane. I hope, however, that things are not so bad with the •'army" as they appear, aud that instead of allowing itsolf to pass away in this quiet, unconscious manner, it will take a new lease of life, and again pro ceed to work, if anything, more invigorated by its temporary relapse.— l am, fee, Ojse op Them.
