WANGANUI, Wednesday.
When the poll was declared last night the hustings broke down when Mr Ballance was just about to speak, and all upon it were precipitated 10 feet. No one was hurt, except a boy, who pot his arm hurt. There was great excitement over the result, but no ill-feeling was shown.
