In the House of Lords last night Earl Giamille, in reply to a question, stated that he had nuiue an uigcnt appeal to France's s^nse ot the comity of nations with reference to the convict question, and it was impossible foi the Biitish Government to do moic. Ii has tianspired that the Government will support Lord Wemyss' motion for arming at a compromise on the subject of the Franchise Bill.
The Cholera in Egypt. Alexandria, July 14. An outbreak of cholera has occurred here, but it has not at present assumed alarming proportions. The oubbicak of cholera heie is as yet confined to a single case, and that did not prove fatal.
