MELBOURNE CUP, 1884. Adam Bede is now forming a series of companies on the above great event. 2,000 investors at £1 each. To be divided as follows :— First horse, £1000 ; second hoiso, £200 : thiid horse, £100 ; other starters (divided), £300 ; non-starters (divided), £400. Total, £2000.
