MELBOURNE CUP, 1884. Adam Bede is now forming a series of companies on the above great event. 2,000 investors at £1 each. To be divided as follows :— First hoi-i>c, £1000 ; second hoi sp, £200; thiid horse, £100; other .itai tora (divided), £300; non-staiteia (di\ided), £100. Total, £2000. It is particularly requested that early application for Sh.ue.3 will, be made, as each list will bodrawn soon as filled. Results will be forwarded to subsciibers immediately after drawing, and the no\t list pruceeded with. Any .subsciibtr diawing a horse in any Hit will be allowed, if he so desires it, to invest in the following list any sum not exceeding Tluee Pounds without remitting any fmthercashthisamount to bk 1 ultimately deducted fiom prize money.
