Gevkral Mclver, who some time back endcavouied to organise in England an expedition to visit New Guinea, \s now in Melbourne, and offers to carry out the project ou behalf of the Australian Governments. He had an interview on Saturday with Mr Service, but the Premier declined the general's proposals.
