AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKKTB. Mr Alfred Bucklano's Wekklt Refort. -At the Hnymarket on Friday fodder was in good supply, and brougtit from 3s to 4s Gd tho cwt; chaff, £4 1(8 Gel the ton. Horse stock wero in usual number, and kept their values. On Tuesday, liotwttKstanding the wet morning, fodder ' was in larger supply than usual, Trot, consequent on the wet day, at low values. At the hide and skin sale, hides ranged from 23d to 3gd the R>; tallow, 22s to 27s 6d tho cwt; sheepskins, from Is 7d to 2s 4d each ; wool, from 3id to sjd tho ft. At Pokeno on Monday a few young cattle only were ■ yarded, And those found ready buyers ; and at Drury the two days' continuous wet, occasioned a very small muster of cattle vet there was the usual attendance of buyers. At Remuera on Thnrsday the wet weather oeca-mmed a small market. Dairy cows at profit were in request at full values. No store cattle yarded. Fat cattle were in limited number, and best quality freely competed for up to 25s the lOOlbs. Sheep were better w.,rth 2s each, 20s being given I for prime wethers. Limhs brought from 9* in 12s each. Pigs were also in good de- , mand at full values. , Messhs Hun mi and Nolan s yvi.us.vi Rbport.—Thero was a marked impiovementin the market as compared with the previous week, and although the supply was scarcely so large as on the previous week, a much greater number found purchasers, and in most instances at advanced rates. At the Durham Yards, on Fiid.iv, above an average number were yarded. I here was steady competition throughout the sale, and several animals withdrawn the previous week found purchasers at much higher rates. We quote hack* at from £5 10s to to £19 • light harness hoises, at £.12 os to £17; medium draught, £32. Cattle: Tho supply was an average one, and theie has been little alteration in value. At the Newmarket Yards, on Tuesday, there was an average muster of dairy and fat stock, and but few stores. The previous week s values were maintained. Sheep were moderately plentiful, but Uiere was a scarcity of really good fat wethers, 17s 3d being the top price, while mixed sexes sold at from Us to los. Lambs, 13s 3d. Pigs were yarded in adequate numbers and found ready purchasers from 2d to 3{d per lb., live weight.
