The weather has been moie settled today, and the floods are subsiding. The damage caused to the tramway has been repaired, and tiaifio is expected to be opened again in the morning. News from the mines is ot an encouraging nature. Coarser gold is shewing in the stone taken from the New Find low level on No, 2 reef. The yield from this mine for the current month is expected to be clo&e on oOOozs, judging from the amount of amalgam on hand. Mr liayldon has been up the Hill today fixing upou a site for starting a low level cioss cut to cut the specimen lode in the Diamond Gully ground. The work will be commenced immediately.
