ARRIVAL OF THE DORIC. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Auckland, Friday Night. The Doric arrived at 5 o'clock. The passage occupied 48 day* including 1 stoppages, the actual steaming time being 44 days. In the eaily pait of the voyage one of the firemen had smalUpcK, and was isolated until off Teneriffe, where he was landed alive. There were no other cases of str*all-pr>x, but another fireman named Smith died of apoplexy in the tropic*. During the voyage 18 ca&es of measles and six cases of chicken-pox oreuired. Thiee children in the •second cabin are still unwell, but |the others lia/e recovered. It is expected th<it the sick children with their Telations will be landed at Motnihi, and that the vessel will be leleased fioin quarantine to-morrow.
