Preserving Autumn Leaves.
The leaves may be pressed between sheets of blotting paper, which are changed at intervals, until the leaves are thoroughly dried, in order to prevent rotting. The colors then look dull, but may be brought out by either oil, a thin white varnish, or wax. The leaves may be rubbed with wax, and carefully pressed ■vrith a warm, not hot, flatiron, and by carefully rubbing with the edge of the iron they may be made to curl most naturally.
