Messrs Hooter and Nolans Weekly Uki'OßT. — Horses : Dullness* has characterised the market, notwithstanding that the supply has been large, comprising a number of stt angers. The previous week s prices were barely maintained. At the Durham Yards on Friday a large number wero submitted. There was a good attendance of buyers, but as expectations of vendors could not be reached several were withdrawn, which had the effect of checking competition, and several remained unsold. We quote : Wool, hides and bkins : Supply small. No noteworthy alteration in value. Cattle : The number brought forward and disposed of has been quite up to the average. Prices lemained unaltered. At the Newmarket Yaids on Tuesday there was a good many in the butchers' and dairy pens, but stores were comparatively scarce. For leally well-fatted oxen last week's prices were maintained, but for those insufficiently up in condition theie was a decline in value. Stores were well represented at Pukekohe on Wednesday, but the demand was not bntk at pievious prices. Dairy cows continued in busk demand, and bold readily at from £0 to W ss. Sheep : Scarcely the usual number were penned at Ncwmaiket on Tuesday, the majority being ewea, and of the wetheij., very few being sufficiently up in condition, prices averages very low, l(3s Ud being the top price for weathers ; ewes ranged from 9s to 14s Gd. Pigs : Shoit supply, unsatisfied demand at 2j!d per lb., h\e weight. Mb Alkhku Bucklands weekm* KkPOKr.— At the Haymarket, on Fnday last, fodder brought fiom 3s to 5s the cwt. ; chaff, £4 17s Gd and £5 the ton ; oats, 2s Gd and2slodthe bushel. Hor»e btock weie in usual supply, and fair enquiry, and a larger number than usual were sold at the auction without reserve. They were all of a medium class, suitable for tiding or light harness, and brought fiom £i to £17 each. Adi aught hor»e sold for £24. On Tuesday hides and skins were pitched in full numbers, and theie was a numerous attendance of buyers. Hides langod from 2}d to 3)d the lb ; tallow, 27.s 0d the cwt. ; sheepskins, from Is 3d to 2s Sd ; pelts, 8d each. AtWaiuku, on Satin day last,, the tattle bi ought f oi waid weie mostly light weight fat cattle. Thcte w.u> but little bidding at the auction, but the whole weie sold bcfoie leaving the yards. At Kenmera on Tlmisday, dairy cattle weie numeious, but maintained their value. Stoic cattle in bettei inquiry; fat cattle m full uumbcis ; good steers, steady, between 22b and 23s the lOOlbs; but plain steeis and cows v>eie at 18s. Fat bheep m moduate numbeia only, but w lth no nnpiovcment in value. Wetheis ranged from 13b to 17» ; ew e-, 10s to los each. The pigs advci ti^ed w ci e in good demand, and sold hati-factunly.
