Engagements during the last wee'e were :—: — Cooks. £2 10s and found ; second cookß, 23s to 303 ; waiters, 2o^ ; blacksmiths, hi and found, undergrooms, £1 pet v,e>k and found ; useful men, £1 ; farm hands, 153 to £1 per week ; bush hands, os per day and house : labourers, 0s to 8s per day ; milkers, 10s to 15h per week and others. . We can supply farm managers, farm hands, station managers, station hands, milkers, labourers, married couples for farms and bush, men cooks, waiters, hotelmen, carpenters, bakers' assistants, grooms and gardeners, storemen, clerks, and general hands. A few women servants are open for engagements. Cooks, 12s to 20s; housekeepers, 15a to 255 ; housemaids, lO.s to 12a ; parlourmaid*, J2s ; nursegirls, 6s to Bs.
LONDON MARKETS. London, June B.— Consols remain at par.— New Zealand securities remain at last quotations.— The wheat marked is unchanged. Adelaide, ex store, 41s; New Zealand ditto, 35s to -10s ; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 28s.— Australian tallosy : Average quality beef remains at 3bs. Mutton has fallen Gd per cwt., and is now quoted at 27s Gd. The total stock of tallow in London to-day is returned at 17,750 casks.— The market rate of discount has advanced to 2£ per cent., and is now § below the bank rate.
LONDON WOOL » VT.ES. London, June 9.— The Catalogue at today's wool sale comprised 11,400 bales. The market was firm.
[Received June 11, 1.30 a.m.] MELBOURXK GRAIN MARKET. i Mrlboursk, June lU.— The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports of the local grain market as follows : —Wheat, 4s 2d to 4s 4d, market depressed ; malting barley, steady, 4s 3d to 4s lOd ; New Zealand oats : Feeding sorts quiet, 2s lOd to 3s Id ; milling ditto steady, 3s 2d to 3s 3d. New Zealand oats under bond, 2s Gd to 2s Sd. Markot quieter.
