London, Juue 6. Thu cricket march, Australians v. Lancaslnrc, was resumed to-day at Manchester, in fine weather, and before an enormous attendance of spectators, The local team, with five wickets down for 100, continued their first innings, which after an excellent display of batting on on the part of Barlow and Mr H. B. Steeb, closed fora total* of 194, or 21 ahead of the Australians The highest scorers for the county weie : Bailow, 28; B.iggs, 46; Steele, 41. The fielding of the visitors was excellent, and alone prevented their opponents' score being much larger that it «as. After the usual interval, the Australians went in for their becond innings, and a splendid display of b.itt.ug ensued, w if.h the result th.it when time was called for tlu> day, 202 runs had been put together for the loss of only three wickets. The chief contributors were Bannermnn (bowled), 44 ; Muidoch (caught), GA ; Giffen (not out), 79.

The Australians, with their score at 202 inns, continued their second innings, and put together a total for eight wickets of 315 befoie play ceased. The highest scorer was Giffen, who was not out on the previous day, with 113 ; Spofforjh, not out, had 24.
