NORTH NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION. Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders.
As' extraordinary meeting of shareholders in the above company was held in the Public Hall, Hamilton, on Tuesday, at 11.30 a.m. There were about 50 shareholders present, and the chair was occupied by Mr W. A. Graham, chairman of the board of provisional directors. The Chairman read the advertisement in The Waikato Times calling the meeting, and stated that the business was to consider the alteration of Regulation No. 44 of the Articles of Association, which provided that a shareholder should have one vote for each share held by him, to read as follows :—": — " Every shareholder shall have one \ote for any number of shares he holds up to five ; two votes for any number up to fifteen ; three votes for any number up to twenty-five ; four for an}' number up to fifty ; and five votes for any number above fifty. But in no case shall a shareholder have more than five votes." On being put to the meeting, the motion to alter the Articles of Association as above was carried by 38 to 5. The Chairman announced that the resolution would require to be confirmed at a meeting to be held that day fortnight.
