KIHIKIHI NEWS.

PRKSKNTATION. On Friday, tho 2nd hist., the Rev. Mr Phillips tin behalf of the congregation attending Christ Church presented Mis Hutclun&on with a time piece as a blicrht acknowledgement of her ser \. ices as organist. The fallowing was inscribed upon it :— '• Presented to Airs Hutchhisqn b,y the congregation of Chiisfc Church, Kihiklhi, in grateful acknowledgement of her services as organist, 1884." Mr Hntchinson cm behalf of°Mrs Hutchmson expressed his thanks for the present. Mrs Hutchinson since the church has been built has presided at the harmonium. With hei it has indeed been a labour of lovo, for f>h,e has attended in all weather, and it is very fitting that her kind services should be suitably acknowledged.

CHURCH MATTERS. On the Monday evening previous, the vestry of the church held a meeting, at which the balance-sheet was read, showing a eredifc tyijance of £15. It was suggested that the money should be expended in fcho purcha&e ot a stone font. It ia also intended to purchase a suitable coinmuaion service, as the one in me is a pocket service belonging to the incumbent, who has very kindly lent it to the church until » larger one could be procured. The offertories for time have been exceedingly good, plainly showing the interest taken in the church by the congregaeion.-^Gwu Copresr pondenti) '
