The adjourned monthly meeting of tlie above body was held at the council chambers, Cambridge, on Wednesday evening. Pie*ent : Ci^. J. P. Campbell (chanman), J. C. Fnth, W. T. Firth, W. L. C. Williain^, E. Maclean, Chepmell, and Brunbkill.

Tb Auoha-Taubang v Road.— Cr. Williams said he uudei stood the Tauranga people were contemplating the widening of this mad acioss the range between the above places. The Tauranga Council, he believed, ha,d already cyinmenced taking the levels on their side, which, being all clay formation, would not entail much cost. On the Piako side of the hill the formation was piincipally locky, and consequently the council could not undertake its of the work under an expenditure of bstween £3000 and £5000. It was quite poh<able they wou]d. receive a coin.munigation shortly from the Tauranga pouncil qii the matter. — A letter was received fiom the secretaiy of the Tauranga County Council conveying the wish of the council on the above matter.
