" I don't deny," said a prisoner sadl> , " that my sentence is a just one, but, your Honour, I liave a favor to ask. Will yon grant it ?" " If possible," answered the Judge kindly. " I want to be executed at some place several hundred miles from liere." " Well," said the Judge, " I will see if it can be managed." " But I don't want to go there in a prison van." " I suppose not." " I want to go by rail." " Certainly." " In an aecomodation train." " Your request cannot be granted, sir. I see your dodge. You expect to dio of old age 1 ef ore getting there."
