CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.
Out of respect to the memory of the late Mr Henry John Tancred, the public offices in Christchurch (excepting the Customs, Postal, and Telegraphic) will closed to morrow. L. M. Ollivier. captain of the Canterbury Rowing Club, and winner of several champion single sculling races, is leaving Christchurch tor Auckland to-night. A presentation was made to him for the members of his club. Wednesday. The late Mr Henry John Tancred's funeral was largely attended to-day. Judge Johnston adjourned the Supreme Court, and the public offices were closed this afternoon.
