CoLONAii TRIMBLb addresssd his constituents last even ng at the Alexandra Hall. He referred to the Bankruptcy Act of last session, and said he believed the country would be better without it or any act of the kind. He was opposed to annexation and confederation, and spoke at some length against protection and in favour ot the free trade. He supported the present Ministry because there was no better men in the House, who could take their place, and should continue that support, reserving to himself the right to oppose them on questions with which lii' differed in opinion fiom them.
