Sydney, April 24. Eleven' Bishops will assist at the enthionement of Dr. Barry as Metropolitan Bishop of Australia. Later. Dr. Barry wa^ enthroned this morning at the Anglican Cathedral with great ceremony. The edifice was densely crowded in all parts. Amongst those present were the Governor of Tasmania, Commodore Erskme, and Lady Loftus, with a large number of the elite of the city. Eleven Bishops from the provinces and from other colonies, and numerous clergy, assisted at the ceremony. The service was most impieasive throughout, the musical portion being especially well rendered.
Mklbooiixe, April 24. At the sitting of the Trades Congress here to day, a vote of protest against the deportation of French convicts to the Pacific was carried by acclamation. The passengers who lately arrived by the steamship Rome have been released from quarantine. Arrived, this morning : The Union steamship Tarawera from the Bluff. Sailed, this afternoon : The Union Kotomahana for the Bluff.
steamship Sydney, April 24. The health of the Marchioness of Normanby is now gradually improving. Suled, this afternoon : The P.M.S. Australia for San Francisco via Auckland. The Marquis and Marchiones3 of Normanby and suite are among the passengers.
Adehidb, April 24. The South Australia ollicial agricultural statistics will shortly be published. The total yield of wheat is now known to have been below the estimate, and it is stated that the oveiage per acre will not exceed eight bushels.
