CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
A requisition to the Hon. Mr Richardson, asking him to become a member for the Kaiapoi seat, has been signed by 350 of the leading settlers in the district. Mr F. Innes and a workman were severely scalded at the Standard Brewery by the bursting of a tap. The New Zealand Shipping Company are advised that the lonic sailed from Rio, all well, April 21st. The Fenstanton is reported at Madiera, April 22nd, in time for the May wool sale. Mr T. C. Moorhouse offers himself to the electors of Mr Rolle3tons constituency.
