Another extensive fire oceiurud in Taystieet tins morning, when the Theatie Royal, the Picnincial Hotel, and tht, Cathohe Scliool-lio'ise weie burnt down The alarm was iiiat given by a lodger in the hotel, who was Aroused by the per-si-tciit howling of a do? chained in the yatd. The inmates were all gob out safely. The fiie began in the Theatre, which had not been occupied since the Siihation Army left it "ohk* weeks ago. The flames quickly &ptead to the hotel, \\ hich adjoined the theitie, then on the other side of the old building formerly known as the Mechanics' Institute. The bii>;ade \vc>e soon at woi'c, but with the limited water supply could do nothing but piotcct the thieatenod buildings.
