I.— lt is hereby notified that the council of the Horcugh of Hamilton propose to borrow, by way of special loan, a sum not exceeding: £500, for the purpose of liquidating the existing' liability on the Hamilton Volunteer and Public Hall, and to m ike such additions as will render it suitable for the offices of the Council, Town Hall, Public Library, &c, and take -the necessary steps to obtain the repeal of " The Hamilton Hall Site Act," and it 1 ! amendment, the land and building referred to being vested in the Borough ot Hamilton. 2. — The amount to be borrowed is to purchase the interests of all persons concerned at the present time and for the completion of the undertaking, repayment of the loan to extend over a period of, say, twenty, or more, jcars, with interest at the rate of about six per cent, per annum. 3. — lhat the rents and profits of the property may be applied to the repajment of the ' loan. 4. — That the loan be secured b> a special rate to be le\ led of one penny in the £ on the rateable property of the borough.
