A letter in reference to the recent death of the Duke of Albany has been addressed by the Queen to Sir William Vernon Harcourt, the Home Secretary, in the course of which Her Majesty thanks all her subjects for their loyal sympathy in her bereavement, and states that despite her deep sorrow of the death of Prince Leopold, she will continue to labour for the good of her country and the prospeiity of her people. Th<s threatened strike of coal workers in England has collapsed.
