At the inquest on Dutfield, a lunatic who escaped from Sunnyside on Maich 26th, and was since found dead, the jury added a rider that V ue attention of Government be drawn to the necessitj' of making the fences round the Asylum secure. A grocery shop and dwelling at the corner of Colombo-street and Hallyroad, leased from Ohristcharch Property Trustees by W. G. Barker, was burned down to-day. The stock and furniture were insured for £250 in the National Oifiee, and the building for i2OO in the Standard.
