Sydxey, April 9. Tawiiiao vi&ibed the Go\ernment offices to-day, and received attentions from the Ministers who were preseut.
Mklboukse, Aptil 9. The Navigation Board concluded its enquiry into the Adelaide- Wairarapa collision to day, and delivered its decision. The Board found that the Adelaide being the overtaken vessel was bound by the regulitions to keep out of the way ot the Wairarapa, and that Captain Lookyear was theiefore responsible for the casualty. Taking into consideration the darkness aud the dangers of the channel, the board considered it highly teprehenaible to proceed at such a high 1 ate of speed, the vessels bei?ig in dangerous proximity The board susppnded the ceititicate of Captain Lockye.ir for two months, and severely rensurert both masters, and cautioned them as to the future. Captain Derling, Nautical Assessor, entered a protest against the finding of the board, being of opinion that both masters were responsible tor the collision.
