ASSESSMENT COURT. Ngaruawahia Town District.
It having been proved to me that no Valuation List, as required by the Rating Act, 1876, has been prepared for the above district, I do hereby appoint Mr George T. M. Kellow, of Ngaruawahia, as valuator, to make such list, and order that the same shall be completed and deposited for public inspection at the office of the Town District Board on the 31st day of March, 1884, and that all objections thereto shall be delivered at the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, Ngaruawahia, on or before the 7th day of April, 1884, and a copy of every such objection delivered to the local body seven clear days before the sitting of the Assessment Court, which will be holden in the said Courthouse on Monday, the 21st clay of April, ISB4, at the hour of J2 o'clock noon. The following is the RESULT of the POLL of the ratepayers of the Waitoa Road District, taken at Morrinsville, on Friday, the 28th day of March, 1884, re a pioposnl by the Piako County Council to levy a special rate of one eightieth of a penny in the £ on all rateable property within the above named Road District. The said rate to be levied under the Roads and Bridges Act, 1882and Amendment; Act 1883. Vote for the proposal 5 Votes against the proposal... 0 I hereby declaie the proposal to be carried. The objects for which the Company is established are as follow :— (1) To offer facilities to farmers for the shipment by the most approved means of their produce to the various markets of the world, and appointment of agents in different localities for the furtherance of this object. (2) To effect advances on any securities, real or personal, that the Directors appointed by the Association may think fit. (3) To procure for sale to the Shareholders, Cornsaclcs, Woolpacks, Agricultural Implements, Seeds, and other articles of cousumption, or otherwise, that the Directors to be appointed by the Association may think fit. (4) To extend the working of the Association in any direction which may seem likely to benefit the members. (5) To confine the advantages of the Association exclusively to members. (6) To conduct the operations of the Association on a cash basis. (7) To divide the profits that may accrue to the Association in the conduct of its business among the shareholders of the 'Association pro rata in accordance with the amount of business done by each shareholder, after paying such dividends on paid-up Capital as may be declared from time to time, and after setting as de any funds as a reserve fund that the Directors of the Association may think fit. (8) And the doing of all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the ibove objects. The liability of the shareholders is limited. The nominal capital of the company is ten thousand pounds, divided into ten thousand shares of one pound each, payable in instalments as follows : — One shilling on application, one shilling on allotment, and one shilling at intervals of not less than one month. Application for shares to be made to Mr Barton, Secretary pro tem, at Hamilton, Mr Roche, Te Awamutu, or any of the directors, from whom all particulars can be obtained.
