RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

A meeting of the above council was held in the council chambers, Raglan, on the 29th ulfc. Present :—Mr W. Duncan (chairman), Crs. Hodgson, Sherrett, and Gilmour.—The minutes of the previous meeting having been lead, were confirmed.—A large amount of coirespondence relating to the Raglan telegraph, Raglan and Wai pa road, Awaroa Grant, was read and received. i

&c, Opotuku Buiixje.—On the motion of Messrs Gilmour and Sherrett, it was decided that the chairman should write to the Minister for Public Works, ahking him to furniah the council with a copy of Mr Knorpp & report with regard to the erection of a bridge over the Opoturu Creek, and at the isaine time to pray of him to make use of some method by which the great inconvenience the Karioi settlers now labour under, owing to the want of such bridge, be removed.
