The friction which was supposed to heave existed on Egyptian afiaiis between members of the Cabinet has been leduced. The Government in the House of Commons having refused to sepaiate their •local taxation, and the local government reform proposals have, on a motion bj Mi Abert Pell, M P , foi South Leic stersliire, been defeated by a majoiity of eleven in a large House.
