of the council, in not commencing works before this season of the year, is so slatternly and unproductive that they may be well twitted with being ungrateful and unmindful to the ratepayers. The leader of that party can boast aa he has done the other day. I make sure that the people will decide agaiiibt tho^e acts by an overwhelming majority. Thine is not a shadow of policy which is of the slightest interest of fie county displayed by this party, and considering the common-place rut in which they now move, it would perhaps be unreasonable to expect anything else. — I am, &c, Wm.
