WAIKATO STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP, of 40sovs., and Silver Cup value lOsovs. About 3 miles, o*er fair hunting country. Nomination, 2sovs j acceptance, 2sovs. 4. WAIKATO PLATE HANDICAP, of losovs., and Silver Tea and CofFee Senicu. Once lound the couise. Nomination, ; acceptance, lsov. First hoise to receive JOsovs. and Service; 2nd, sso\s; 3rd to save his atdke. Horses to be the property of settlers in the Waikato, Waipa nnd Piako counties three months prewuiis to day of entry. Weights 9 p.m. night of fiist day's race. 5. HACK SELLING RACE, of 10so\s. Once round couise. Weight, 9->t. Winner to be sold immediately after the race for losovs. Surplus, if any, to go to the funds. Post entries. Entrance, 6. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 15 soys. For all beaten horses during the meeting. CONDITIONS :
Entrance fee for all handicaps to be forwarded with nomination and colois, age and pudigiee of horse, addressed to the Secretary, Post-office, Cambridge, or Mr William Peicival, Auckland, not later than Tlumc'ay, 17th April, 1884. Weights will appear in Auckland and Waikato papers on Friday, 25th April, 1884. Acceptances and general entries close with the Secretary or Mr W. Percival by Monday, 28th April, 1884. Acceptances for second day's Hurdles, Publicans Purse ami Waikato Plate w ill be received by the Secrerary up to 12 o'clock uoon of second day's races. In the event of a walk over only 50 per cent- of the stakes will be paid. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 2sovs. No entry will be leceived, except upon the condition that a.ll claims, disputes, and objections arising, shall be decided by the Stewaids, or whom thpy may appoint, and their decision shall he final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 3sovs., which will be forfeited to the funds ot the Club, should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. The Rules of the Auckland Racing Club will be strictly adhered to. Ten per cent will be deducted from prize in each event for second horse. WALTER SCOTT, Scci etary.
