DUNEDIN, Fiiday.

A general meeting of the shareholder in the New Zeal aid Plate-glass Insiu ance Company wai held at the company's office this afternoon. There were about thirty sbaieholcleirs piesent, and it was stated that shaics in the company woio applied for twice ov er, and that the allotment of shaies hid been leceived satisfactorily. A rinectoiate was elected. At a meeting ot the cieditois of Messrs J. and J. Watson, of the Gland Hotel. held this afternoon, at which there was a large attendance, the repoit of the committee appointed to investigate the afFaiis connected v\ith the estate was consideied highly satisfactoiy by the creditois, and it was resolved that the property be vested in three trustees, to be carried on for the benefit of the creditors. The Messis Watson are to act as managers of the business It was resolved that debentmes, beaiinc interest at 8 per cent., be issued for the purpose of earning on the affairs, such debentures to be paid off as the funds come in. It was stated that after very careful examination of the books, it was (gathered that the profits of the business amounted to £300 per month, and there should therefore be no doubt of its being very shoitly put on a sitisfactory footing and payiug twenty shillings in the pound.
