Ma Alfred Buriu, \nd\s Wekkly Rkport—At the sale of Mr Claude's farm stuck on Saturday last there was a numerous attendance and brisk bidding throughout, particularly for the implements, winch were of the bat class obtainable and in perfect order. Cattle and horses were also freely competed for with the result of obtaining on the whole, 21 nor cent, over the owners valuation. At Newm.irket on Friday few dairy or store cattle wore yarded ; those were without alteration in values. F.it c ittle in full numbers. Steers fully maintained late valuer but cowa and heifers were at something lower price*. Store sheep were plentiful and at low values, aged ewes from 3-. to 4s (5d ; lambs, 2.s 3d to 3s each ; fat sheep, plentiful, but none of choice quality, late value-, well obtained ; f.it lambs, in full number and brisk inquiry, prices rouged from 8s t-i 14s each ; fat calves, plentiful, and required, prices ranged from 20s to I'M each ; pigs, scaice, .and at full values. Hi'ni'kh and Nolvn'.s Weekly Rki'OKT. —Hor^ei: The supply has been up to the average. At the Durham yards on Frday except for foreign hmses, bidding was dull though the majority of those entered for sile were sold at the hammer or privately. Theie was no alteiation in the quotations. On Monday we held a sale at Sir. Brown's at Mangere ; stock of all descriptions and farming implements sold well. On Tuesday at the Duih.un yards we held our weekly hides, skin and wool sale. We quote liides 3j*d to 7)\d • pelts and skins, 7d to 3s 4d ; wool, 4^d to sid. At the Junction Yatds, on Tuesday, dairy stock were in full supply, and everything of a good class sold ficely. Store stock wer jin average supply, but the beef pens weie well filled. Prices varied during the sale, but a draft of prime Haweia bullocks were quitted at 23s per lOOlbs. Theie was no noticable alteration in d.urv or .stoic puces. Sheep : The yards weie well filled, and prices showed an advance on last week's prices. Lambs were in full numbers, and sold high. Pig.s were shoit of lequiiements, and are still wanted at good pi ices. Cattle : At Pukekohe, on Wednesday, there was a full muster of all descriptions of stock, and met with pui chasei s at Lite values. A large diaft of pigs from the Cheebe Factory sold at good prices.
