Roads and Bridges Construction Act 1882, and Amendment Act 1883. The Piako County Council having made application for a grant in aid of main roads within the County, Ratepaying of the above riding are hereby notified as uuder, in accordance with the provisions of the above Act, Sections 12 and 49, Works propoped to be undertaken within above riding :—: — Earth-cutting, grading, draining, gravelling and making culverts on a poition of main load lying between confiscation line and Waihou river. The amount of the payments required to be made to the Government will be £21 per year for ten years and the special rate required to meet same is one eightieth of a penny in the £ on all rateable property within the Waitoa riding. Plans, specifications," and detailed estimates ot the cost of such proposed work may be seen at the office of the Piako County Council, Cambridge, during ordinary business hours. Woiks proposed to be undertaken within above Riding :—: — Metalling, Re-forming and Improving that portion of the main road ljing between Te Aioha township and Waioiongomai. Making Culverts and Improving that portion of the main road lying between Waiorongomai and Sliaftesbury. The amount of the payments required to be made to the Government will be £21 per year for ten years, and the special rate required to meet same is onefiiteeuth of a penny in the £ on all rateable property within the Te Aroha Riding.
