Waiknto Times Office, Monday. HAMILTON MAUKET.S. Mr Knox Reports -.—There was a good attendance at Saturday's sale. Potatoes, ,£4 par ton ; apples, 3d pur lb ; plums, 3£d per lb; bacon, scarce, 8d per lb ; peaches l^d per lb ; bedsteads, 14s to 25s ; chaff, £5 per ton.

Hrhjhton an* n Co., 177, Queen-street, Auckland, report :— Tho supply of men servants has been equal to the demand, and we have numbers s>till on our books open for situations. Many new arrivals claim high wages, but finally accept tho current rate. Women servants are much sought for,— the supply is small and wages hiefh. Engagements made as follow : — Married couples, for farms, £50 to £75 and found ; for hotels, £100 and founh ; farm hands, 15s to 20s ; youths, 10a and found ; boys, Gs and found ; drivers, £2 2s per week ; gardners, 25s and found ; men cooks, 2.w t<> 50* per week. General hands at current wages ; women servants at high rates of wages, and few engagements. Good servants very scaice, and many pressing demands, We have on our book-, waiting for employment— Married couples, Kardoners, grooms, farm hands, geneial ands, tradesman, station hands, and numbers of storemen.
LONDON MAUKETH. London, February 28.— Console remain at yesterday's quotations. — The breadstuff market is unchanged. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is 43$ ; New Zealand ditto, 3(>-* to 42s ; the Adelaide flour, ex .store, 30s. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britiain is 1,01.0,000 quarrern.— Tallow has advanced Gd, Australian, average quality beef, is now 38s Od, and mutton, 425. Copra has fallen 10s per ton. Sydney sun - dried is now worth £19 10s. Leather : Best Australian hides remain at lid. The catalogue at to-day's wool sale comprised 11,300 bales. The market continues steady, but the demand is not active. A Press Association message says : — Cargoes of Australian wheat, to arrive m February and March, have been sold at 40» to 41s. The wool catalogue contains 108,000 bales. Competition is good, but merinos care easy. Crossbreds are firm. [ri:il N.Z.L. AND M.A. CO.] LONDON, February 28.— Wool : The sales progress firmly.
