Cairo, Febi nary 29. News has been leceivcd here fioni Kassala, a town on the river Mareb, ne.ir the Abyssinian fionticr, which has been iha state of siege for some time past, tli.it the garrison of Egyptian troops lecently made a sortie fi om the place. A stiong force of rebels was enuonnteied, and an engagement ensued, resulting in then defeat with considerable loss.
London, March 1, 3 p.m. An official telegram has just been leceived giving the news, of the victory ot 'tho British troops under Major Geneial Graham over the lebels near Toka. The message says that the enemy weie attacked in force yesteulay, and a general battle ensued. The fighting, which was very dcspcuitc on both sides, lasted till nightfall, the Biitish being finally successful at e\eiy point, the Rebels being driven from all their posiHions. Our loss is &hght, and u> s>ct down Fas 10 killed and 40 wounded. The enemy suffered severely, and are stated to have loss fully 1000 killed.
