Ail Electric Gun.

A new species of rifle without lock or trigger has been constructed in Paiis. In it the charge is fired by means of a platinum wire, rendered incandescent by an electric current contained in a small battery in the stock of the gun. Whether the novelty has any practical advantage over the ordinary gun would be difficult to say, but it is probable that the aim will be less liable to disburbance with no trigger to be pulled. The current is started by a slight pressure on a push-button or key —tnus involving, we fear, the greater liability to accident.
