Electricity and Amber.
Ambeii, or fossil resin, is washed out of a tertiary mud-bed in the Baltic Sea and cast up by the tide. The electric light, however, is now employed to search for it on the sea-bot-tom under water, and thus the latest development of electricity is made to serve in seeking for the amber or elektron. of the Greeks, which in the hands of Thalea first showed the electric power and gave its name to the science of electricity.
