A fair demand was experienced.— February 27,— At the wool auction to-day 0800 bales were offered, but without active demand. LONDON MARKETS. LONDON, Feuiiury 2t.— Consols remain at 100 J. Now Zealand securities remain at last Quotations. Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 445; and New Zealand ditto at 36s to 52b ; Adelaide flour, ok store, in 30a. Scotch pig iron has fallen Is per ton. No. 1, f.o.b. in Clyde, is now quoted at 4fn. Galvanisod iron, Gospel Oak, packed in London, remains at £18 lOi.

AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET Mu Alfued Buckiand's Weekly Report—At the Haymarket on Friday last, fodder ranged from 2s (id, to 4s the cwt. : oaten chaff, £3 2s Gd the ton ; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 9d tlio bushel ; white clover, lOd the lb. Horae stock were yaided m full number principally of medium strength. There was a good enquiry throughout the sales, and prices showed considerable improve ment over late markets. At the hide, •kin and wool sale on Tuesday, hides sold higher than for some time. Good quality ranged \ip to 4d the lb ; butcher's bones, £4 10s the ton ; tallow, 26s to 28s the cwt ; sheepskins, 8d to 2s lOd each ; small parcels of wool from 5d to 5-jd tlio lb. At Papakura on Wednesday theie was a small muster of stock only, for which usual prices were given. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were numerous, and good animals in demand ; store cattle dull of s*le ; fat cattle in usual number, and la«t week's values fully sustained ; best quality bringing 21s the lOOlba. Sheep were in snorter supply than usual, and a slight improvement in value was obtained for whethers, but ewes were no better worth. Lambs of prime quality were better worth, but, unless very good, were at last week's value. Store and young pigs were in brisk demand, at improved values. Averages were : 10 steers, A. Bruce Snttor, £8 (5s 3d ; 7 steers, W. Taylor, £8 12b Gd ; 22 steers, E. B. Walker, £7 10s ; 8 stoers, Grice and Parker, £7 lb's ; 240 wethers, Auckland Agricultural Company, 14s (id. Messrs. Hunter and Nolans Weekly REPORT. — Horses : The market has been moderately active, with a corresponding supply ; but few strangers put m an appearance, and as shipments from the South were in transitu, buyers were disposed to wait. The Durham Yards were fairly filled on Friday.'.and most found purchasers, prices on the whole being up to expectation of vendors. We quoto : Hacks, from £4 to £15 ; medium draught colts, £17 to £25 ; heavy draught horses, £30 to £34 10s. Wool, hides, and skins : Wool in small lots sold at from 4\d to s\d ; skins, from 2s to 3s 7d. Cattle": The supply has been small. For dairy and stores theie was a steady demand, but for fat beasts not so good. At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, theie was an average number of dairy cows yarded, and there was good competition, and almost without exception lots wei c disposed of at the pievious week's values; store and fat beasts were in less than average numbers ; for the former, bidding was brisk, but for the latter lacked spint, and prime beef was sold at from ISs to 20s per lOOlbs. Sheep were yarded in adequate numbers on Tuesday, at Newmarket, and found purchaseis at the previous week's prices. Lambs sold at from 7s Gd to 12s t)d. The apeci.il sale on Wednesday was not a success. The stock, being principally Lincoln, are looked \ipon with disfavour. Southdowns were much enquired for. Lincoln ewes sold at from 8s to 14> (id ; lambs, from 5s 6d to 12s f)d ; Southdown, from £3 to seven guineas ; Leicester rania, £1 2a ot\ to £2 10s.
