CRICKET.

Ngakuawahia f, Hamilton. The return match between the above clubs was played on Sydney Square, Hamilton, on Saturday, the N^aruawahia club not possessing a ground of their own sufficiently good. The match, though it did not serve to exhibit any very brilliant cricket, was an interesting one ; the teams were very evenly matched, neither side scored a vic« tory. The bowling on both sides was fair, Mr Soper for the visitors and Mr Forrest for Hamilton were especially good, but the fielding was extremely loose, and the batting was gre.itly below the average. Mr Soper captained Ngarnawahia, and Mr Forrest Hamilton. The teams sat down to an excellent luncheon at Mr Bach's Royal Hotel at 2 p.m. Appended are the scores :•—
