SHERIFF'S SALE AT CAMBRIDGE.
According to pieviou*. aunouncemont the the hoises, buggies, drays, harne-s, &c, seized by the Sheriff of the .Supreme Ooiut Auckland, Major Green, weto offered for sale by auction by Messrs W. J. Hunter aud Co., at tlieir yards, Cambiidge, at 1 p.m. yehteiday. After the usual leading of the conditions of sale by the auctioneer, Major Green mounted the rostrum, and .said that he, as Sheriff of the Supreme Court, could, assure his hearer» that a good and valid title would be given with every purchase. The Sheriff then explained under whit conditions those natives not living on the Puahoc Block could receive their cattle, and Mr W. H. Grace having interpreted, the sale commenced. Owing to the notoriety this especial «alo had acquired there was an unusually large attendance, and pi ices mled considerably above the average. The utmost good feeling prevailed throughout.
