I So the dog it uwollcred the eg at jest ovM moufle, thout ruistin the ahel, and went anfl lay down in the .sun by^its master's feets anfl and went to sleep. Pruty sun the eg was hatcfl out in the stummuck of the dogs belly and thl chick begun for i^o peck the dog. The dog ifl had a little spazzera with its feets and woke ufl sudden, and theii looked at its master, mucM as to say, "Excuse me, I dreamed I had a tapfl worm," and then it went to sleep agin, real peacefle, the dog did. I Bimeby the chickn it pecked agin in tbfl stummuck of the dog's belly, and the'doß jumpt up on its feets and made a back.'likß cats backs, and then turned a sumer salt anfl et gras. The feller he looked at the dog anfl said, real sollemn, " Wot circu3 was you com ected with fore I got you, my friend ? " But the dog dident pay no atenshion, fcfl jest then the chickn stoped a peckin and sefl "Yeep, yeep, yepp," in the dog, and the dog ■ stood with its head turned one side, and prickeH its years up for to bark, and kepi; real stil lifl it was a fraid if it ran a way it would miss tbfl concert.
